Captain's Paddock Vineyard

The Vineyard was planted in 1995, featuring 10 acres of chardonnay, shiraz and merlot vines. The deep, red, fertile soil, easterly aspect, with vines running north-south, and an altitude of 600 metres combine to create our unique terroir. The vineyard is in two blocks, separated by a sweeping tree-lined driveway that introduces the visitor to the property, the vineyard and then the breathtaking views, leading to the cellar door and cafe. The vines are pruned in July, experience bud-burst in September, fruit set in October and ripen over the summer months.
