In the renowned Margaret River region, this vineyard was established by Peter & Lyn Serventy in 1984 on their 50 hectare property. Peter is nephew of the famous naturalist Vincent Serventy and son of ornithologist Dominic Serventy, and such influences led Peter & Lyn along the organic path right from the start. The wines, too, are made with a minimum of sulphur dioxide, added late in the piece and never exceeding 30 parts per million. Since early 2003 Serventy has a new owner in Ian Hartley and the vineyard & winery are now being managed by Di & David Bostock. The commitment to organic growing has not changed.
