Mallee Estate Wines

The vineyards were established and developed by the family company, which consists of three vineyards at separate locations in Renmark. This is to take advantage of the different soil types and to grow better and more distinctive grapes for winemaking.

Peter Markeas established the first vineyard in 1969, with 3 acres of Shiraz planted, which is used to make the Mallee Estate Shiraz.

Today the vineyards consist of Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Tempranillo, Grenache, Mourvedre, Riesling and Chardonnay.
