The Drayton family migrated from England in 1852 and William (also known as Joseph) Drayton established a small 32-hectare farm in the Hunter Valley in 1857, with the first wine produced in 1860. In 1994 Robyn took over the family business after her parents were tragically killed in a plane crash en route to Lord Howe Island.
